KILL 'EM ALL

Первый альбом Metallica. Первоначально вышел на Megaforce. Владельцу магазин пластинок Jon Zazula действительно понравилась эта свежая молодая группа и они попытались получить контракт. Когда это не удалось, он нашел his own record label, Megaforce, and signs Metallica as his first band. рабочее название этого альбома было "Metal up your ass", но as the record distributors не хотели выпускать альбом с таким названием, they called it Kill 'em all, which means Kill all the record distributors. Альбом был записан в мае 1983 и had its top position at #120 on Billboard в феврале 1988. Коллекционеры ищут двойной LP set with gatefold sleeve, и ограниченное издание с двумя бонус-треками.

TRACKS:
Hit The Lights, The Four Horsemen, Motorbreath, Jump In The Fire, (Anesthesia)-Pulling teeth, Whiplash, Phantom Lord, No Remorse, Seek & Destroy, Metal Militia

MASTER OF PUPPETS - Album

Metallica started to record this album in Denmark September 85, and ended the recording session with Flemming Rasmussen 27 December same year. It saw the light of day in Mars 86, and this was a total different album compared to the two first, both lyrically and musically. There is a lot of cool version of this album. Look out for the double album. The tree first album was re-released by Music For Nations as double discs, but it is only Master of puppets which comes with a poster.

Battery, Master Of Puppets, The Thing That Should Not Be, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, Leper Messiah, Orion (Instrumental), Damage Inc.

GARAGE DAYS - EP

Garage Days Re-Revisited was released in October 87 to introduce Jason, their new bass player, to the fans. One of the tracks was left off the British version so it could qualify for the singles chart. In Japan they included the lyrics, a biography as well as a large poster. This is a really great disc featuring only cover tunes by old favourites. Garage Days is now out of print and can be hard to find.

There are just too many versions of this one, you can collect in years, and still miss some items. Look out for the picture disc and the vinyl promos with covers.

THE GOOD THE BAD & THE LIVE - Box set

There is a lot of box sets out there with collections of ordinary singles or albums, but this is the only one put out by the band, or should I say their record company as Lars didn't like this box set. «It is done by the company to make some extra dollars» Lars said in an interview, «If you don't have the new live tracks, tape it from a friend». The box contains a poster and the following EPs. Jump in the fire, Creeping death, Garage days re-revisited, Harvester of sorrow, One, and a live disc only available here which contains these tracks:

TRACKS:
Harvester Of Sorrow v/s One, Breadfan (All live)

METALLICA (THE BLACK ALBUM) - album

Metallica got a hell lot of new fans with this album. You understand that it is a good album when you see how many singles are. Vertigo UK released a tin can with the CD, a video and a T-shirt. They did 35.000 copies of this, so it might still be possible to find. There is a bonus on this album as well in Japan,- So What. The cover is almost totally black, but this isn't the first all-black Metallica cover. The two Collectors editions of One, and the EP box set released two years earlier was all-black as well. So from late 1989 to autumn 1992 all Metallica covers where dark as night.

TRACKS:
Enter Sandman, Sad But True, Holier Than Thou, The Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, Don't Tread On Me, Through The Never, Nothing Else Matters, Of Wolf And Man, The God That Failed, My Friend Of misery, The Strugle Within

THE UNFORGIVEN - Single

A ballad. The fans hated that there were two ballads on the black album. «They have sold out» the die hard fans said, but haven't we heard that before. They said that when Ride The Lightning was released as well, «Fade To Black» is a ballad too remember. Killing time was chosen for the B-side this time. Metallica also recorded this track way back in 1982 on a demotape when they were a three piece band.

WHEREVER I MAY ROAM - single

A really heavy song. Look out for the rare 12" picture disc, or any formats with the Elevator version of Nothing Else matters. This is really cool with orchestra and stuff. There is a lot of different B-sides here, and some of them appears on other singles as well. The live tracks are recorded in Moscow September 28th 1991. It was not released in the US
